Style:
Photorealistic, Found Footage, Cryptid Horror, Viral Monster Sighting, Thriller, Mocumentary Aesthetic.
Cinematography:
Handheld, extremely shaky camera footage filmed from the stern (back) of a speeding boat. The camera struggles to keep focus on the wake due to the rough movement. Low-light conditions (twilight) add grain and motion blur, enhancing the realism and terror.
Scene
The open ocean at dusk, with a dark blue sky and a faint orange sunset on the horizon. The camera is on a small fishing boat with fishing rods visible in holders. The boat is creating a massive, churning white wake as it speeds away from something.
Actions:
A terrifying, predatory mermaid-like creature is chasing the boat, swimming rapidly in the boat's wake. The creature has pale human skin, long dark hair, and a pinkish fish tail. It breaches the water surface aggressively, leaping out of the white foam like a dolphin to gain speed. It gets dangerously close to the boat, jumping high into the air with its arms outstretched as if trying to grab the railing or the man standing at the back. The men on the boat recoil in fear. The boat accelerates, and the creature eventually falls back into the dark waves, disappearing into the distance.
Background Sound:
The deafening roar of the boat's outboard motor, the loud splashing of water, and the sound of wind. Overlaid with the frantic, terrified screaming of men shouting "Go! Go!", "It's right behind us!", "Look at its face!", and "Faster!"
